LX Series

The LX Series Console Servers provide remote serial connectivity to routers, switches, Unix/Linux/Windows servers, sensors and a wide variety of other equipment through a widely available, reliable, cost-effective connection. Intelligent Power Management solutions for AC and DC power solutions combine power distribution and remote power control, and power monitoring of individual outlets. Sensor networking support in the LX Series console servers or Sensor Managers provides an IP-based method to monitor and automate physical infrastructure resources including heat, humidity, fire alarms, and security cameras, as well as physical entry points such as doors and windows.

Power Management

The LX Power Control Series provides the ability to enable or disable power to managed devices, to reset equipment, enhance troubleshooting, enable redundant equipment, or control power access. The Trigger/Action feature of the LX Series allows site administrators and lab personnel to easily automate power, physical and security infrastructure control. This feature not only enhances troubleshooting but also allows managers to reduce utilities costs by turning off unused equipment extending equipment life span and reducing cooling costs.

Sensor Networking

Sensor Networking support for low voltage alarm points as well as temperature\humidity is supported by all LX Series Console Servers. Simply configure an individual serial port for alarm management and the port becomes an alarm input and control output point for a wide variety of sensors. An external temperature\humidity sensor provides details measures providing detailed measurements for threshold level monitoring.

More sophisticated Sensor Management is supported via the 7204/7304 Sensor Managers. These devices are dedicated platforms that are built to support alarm and sensor management applications. Monitoring and controlling low voltage, high voltage, and analog sensors provides an array of options that can be used with almost any sensor or alarm device.
